About the Role

Join Meridian Advisory's Strategy Practice as a Research Analyst and play a crucial role in delivering high-impact consulting engagements across Western Australia's resources, government, and healthcare sectors. Reporting directly to Managing Partner Catherine Wu, you'll support our growing team of senior consultants and partners in developing data-driven strategic recommendations for our mid-market and government clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain exposure to complex business challenges while working alongside experienced consultants on engagements spanning strategy development, digital transformation, and organisational design. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic recommendations
• Develop financial models and perform quantitative analysis to support business case development
• Create compelling presentations and reports using PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualisation tools
• Support primary research activities including stakeholder interviews, surveys, and focus groups
• Assist with benchmarking studies across industries, particularly in resources and government sectors
• Collaborate with the 8-person consulting team to deliver projects on time and within scope
• Maintain client databases and research repositories to support knowledge management
• Participate in client workshops and meetings as required
• Support proposal development for new business opportunities

What You'll Bring

Essential Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related analytical discipline - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities - Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing project requirements - Australian work rights

Highly Regarded: - Honours degree or postgraduate qualification - Previous internship or work experience in consulting, banking, or corporate strategy - Familiarity with statistical software (R, SPSS) or advanced Excel functions - Understanding of Western Australian business environment, particularly resources sector - Experience with stakeholder engagement or client-facing roles
