Graduate Consultant

Meridian Advisory | Perth, Western Australia | Graduate Program

About the Role

Join Meridian Advisory's prestigious graduate program and launch your consulting career with Western Australia's leading boutique advisory firm. As a Graduate Consultant, you'll rotate across our core practices — strategy, operations, and government — gaining exposure to high-impact client work from day one.

Reporting to Sasha Petrov, our Senior Consultant and Graduate Program Lead, you'll work directly with our partners on engagements spanning digital transformation, strategic planning, and policy development. This isn't a traditional graduate role where you're stuck in the background — at Meridian, you'll be client-facing from week one, supported by dedicated partner mentoring throughout your 18-month program.

Our graduate cohort of 3-4 consultants works across all practice areas, ensuring you develop a broad skill set while discovering your areas of passion. You'll be part of project teams typically comprising 2-4 consultants working directly with partners Catherine Wu, Daniel Okafor, and Raj Kapoor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations as a core team member, not an observer
  • Analysis & Research: Conduct market analysis, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis to support strategic recommendations
  • Project Delivery: Contribute to deliverable development including strategy documents, process maps, and implementation roadmaps
  • Cross-Practice Rotation: Complete 6-month rotations across strategy, operations improvement, and government practices
  • Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with client teams and support change management initiatives
  • Business Development: Assist with proposal writing and client pitch preparation
  • Knowledge Development: Contribute to Meridian's thought leadership through industry research and capability building

Highly Regarded: - Previous internship or work experience in consulting, government, or corporate strategy roles - Understanding of Western Australian business environment, particularly resources and government sectors - Experience with data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI) or process mapping software - Second language capabilities, particularly Mandarin given our growing Asian client base
